Eureka Restoration recently held a three-day photography workshop.

Special to the Eureka Sentinel

Eureka Restoration held a recent photography workshop, with the help of Joelle Mackay. Several local kids stopped by 180 as part of this three-day event. Artists Antone Damele and Abby Sweet introduced them to the various processes associated with the production of the latest mural at 180 which is close to completion.

The mural is a salute to the Basque heritage and to all immigrants for their importance to Eureka’s history. Jim Ithurralde spoke on the Basque history. The workshop was presented by the Ag Extension Office and was made possible in part by a grant through the Nevada Arts Council.

Trish and Deon Reynolds, prior owners of The Gallery on Main Street, helped teach this class.
