For the first time this season, the Eureka County High School football team played a game away from home when they traveled to Round Mountain to do battle with the Knights on Friday evening.

Unfortunately for the visiting team, the results were similar to their first three games as they were defeated by Round Mountain 48-28.

Something had to give between the two squads entering the opening kick. Both teams were looking for their first win of the year as each school came into the contest with an 0-3 record.

The game would go the way of the Knights however, in a high scoring contest that saw each team put up their highest offensive total so far. The Vandals played their most complete game of 2013, but Round Mountain was that much better, despite four Eureka touchdowns.

The Vandals look to improve on their 0-4 record when they travel to McDermitt on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
