The Old Fashion Community Christmas Tree Lighting, a Eureka tradition, will take place Saturday, Dec. 6 at Main Street and Gold Street and Eureka Opera House.
Horse drawn sleigh rides (weather permitting) will be offered from 3 to 5:30 pm, with pick up and drop off in from of the Opera House.
Caroling by the high school choir and friends is scheduled inside the Opera House from 4 to 5 p.m.
Santa Claus will be on hand at the Opera house from 3 to 5:20 p.m., where kids will get a free 5×7 picture.
The Christmas tree lighting will be in front of the Senior Center at 5:30 p.m.
There will also be a raffle for two kid’s bikes and other prizes right after at 5:34 p.m. at the Opera House. You must be 12 and under to enter the raffle.
All activities are free. The event is sponsored by the Eureka County Economic Development Program.
