Steven Kibb Buffington (Kibb), of Lamoille, NV, passed away at his home on March 7, 2017 at the age of 59 with his wife Linda at his side after a short battle with cancer.

Born on August, 14, 1957 in Ely, Nevada, Kibb was a lover of the outdoors, good coffee, his home in Lamoille and family.

Kibb graduated from High School in 1975 from Gabbs, High. After graduation he attended the Wyoming Technical Institute and then returned to Nevada where he worked in the ranching industry then later in the mining industry spending many years at the Round Mountain mine and later at the Goldstrike mine in Elko Nevada. 

Kibb is survived by his wife Linda, step children, Tina and Sam Schrader of Fallon, Todd Chambers of Round Mountain, parents Tom and Ethel Buffington of Eureka Nevada, his sisters Judy Hale of Eureka, Dixie Rizzi of Elko and brother Randy Buffington of Elko. Kibb also leaves behind a strong and loving extended family and a wealth of great friends and colleagues.

At Kibb’s request, there will be no service held.

Kibb’s celebration of life will be hosted this summer, details to follow.
