Eureka volleyball rolled their 13th consecutive victory with wins last week over Wells and Jackpot.
The Lady Vandals are the top team statewide in 1A girls volleyball with a record of 18-3.
Against Wells, the girls took the match 3-0 with scores of 25-12, 25-21, 25-18.
It was another 3-0 sweep against Jackpot the following day. Scores were 25-9, 25-7, 25-13.
In the Wells match, Mikala Talbot led the way with nine kills. Alia Minoletti contributed eight kills. The teams also had 12 service aces. Minoletti had 13 digs and Shauna Brown had 12 in the match.
Against Jackpot, the Vandals totaled 29 kills, nine from Minoletti, seven from Carlie Wells and six apiece from Talbot and Josie Hoekenga.
This weekend, the girls have a league match on Friday with Carlin. The Lady Vandals beat the Lady Railroaders 3-0 in Carlin just nine days ago.
On Saturday, Sept. 29 and then Oct. 2, Eureka have a couple of non-league games on tap, first hosting Virginia City, then traveling to Battle Mountain.
The girls lost to Battle Mountain 2-1 at the Battle Mountain tournament Aug. 31, but have not played Virginia City yet this season. The Muckers have won the last four meetings since 2014.
