U.S. Senator Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) made a recent visit to Eureka County, where she met with local government officials, sheepherders and members of the Duckwater Shoshone Tribe to discuss local issues. The Senator finished her day with a tour of the historic Eureka Opera House. “I’m inspired by local leaders spearheading solutions to the unique challenges facing rural communities. Listening to voices of Nevadans, as well as our Native communities, guides my work as Senator, and I’ll take their voices back to Washington as I continue advocating for resources that help our communities.”
