Special to the Sentinel

Each year, the Eureka County School District conducts Child Find. The goal is to locate children in the community who are in need of Special Education Services and are not presently receiving them.

Currently, Special Education Services provide programs for children ages 3-21 with the following special needs: autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, emotional disturbance, health impairment, hearing impairment/deaf, intellectual disability, orthopedic impairment, specific learning disability, speech/ language impairment, traumatic brain injury, visual impairment, and multiple impairment.

If you know a child with special needs, or if you have reason to believe your child would qualify, please contact the Eureka County School District at 775-237-5700.

Anyone can make a referral but the parent/guardian must consent to the referral and evaluation of their child.
