The Eureka Restoration Enterprise will hold its third annual Art, Wine and Music Festival Saturday in downtown Eureka.

The Art, Wine and Music Festival returns this weekend in Eureka.  The Eureka Restoration Enterprise has coordinated this event for the past three years now.

Inspired by the Ely Renaissance Society, owners of Eureka Restoration Amanda Pearce and Garney Damele created this event to help raise money to restore and preserve historical downtown.   Damele, “we lost our bank and our grocery store from Main street and it left a big void, and less people out and about.  We didn’t want to see our historical downtown go the way of a ghost town, and this event brings people back to downtown”.

A 5k Color Run-Walk will begin at 8 a.m. on Saturday at the Veterans Park located at 151 N. Main Street.  The entry fee is $15 a person.  The walk takes you on a trail providing one of the best views of Eureka.

After the walk, join in on the Wine Walk that begins at 2 p.m.  The walk takes you through a tour of historic Eureka beginning at 180 N. Main Street.  You’ll take a stroll through downtown, among historical buildings including the Eureka Opera House, the Jackson House Hotel and the Eureka Sentinel Museum. Tickets are $25 a person for ages 21 and over.  A mural dedication of the Basque Mural will follow at 5 p.m.

An eclectic sound of live music being performed by the band Apothic and Rub Mt. Ardi Baltza can be heard while the wine walk is taking place.  Vendors with food, wine, art and crafts will be on display.  Stop in, and experience the spirit of keeping downtown Eureka alive.
