ELY – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public input to inform the development of a Pancake Complex Herd Management Area Plan for wild horses. “We’re asking the public to review and provide comment on the preliminary environmental assessment and proposed herd management area plan, which is being prepared to ensure that we maintain a healthy wild horse population,” said Robbie McAboy, BLM Ely district manager. An initial evaluation describing key issues to be addressed in the plan is available for public review at the https://eplanning.blm.gov/eplanning-ui/project/2033135/510. The BLM plans to develop and issue a final plan within approximately one year. Written comments may be emailed to blm_nv_pancakecomplexgatherhmap@blm.gov (preferred); or delivered to the BLM Bristlecone Field Office, Attn: Ben Noyes, 702 North Industrial Way, Ely, NV 89301.
