Red Ribbon Week, sponsored by the Eureka County Juvenile Probation Office (ECJPO), concluded on Thursday night, Oct. 24, with a viewing of the movie “Inside Out 2” at the Eureka Opera House. Over 50 participants attended the event.

Previously in the week, students at Eureka Elementary School and Eureka County High School were treated to a show by guest presenter and juggler Dana Adams. His message centered on making good life choices and staying away from drugs.
Teachers and students at Eureka Elementary School also participated in a door decorating contest during the week. The doors were judged on creativity and the use of the national theme: “Life is a Movie; Film Drug Free.” Janine Mello’s sixth grade class were the winners of this activity and will receive a pizza party, courtesy of the ECJPO.
Fiona Goettle’s fourth grade class will receive an ice cream party for having the greatest number of participants for each dress-up day during the week. Dress up days were: Dress like a Rock Star, Character Day, Dress to Impress and Wear Red to the Gala.
