Eureka County has announced a Snapshots of Summer: Youth Photo Challenge for children within the county aged 18 and younger.
The challenge is for kids to take a snapshot of something within the county that encapsulates the beauty of summer through landscapes, events, portraits, abstract pieces or anything that represents the community.
Submissions will be accepted from June 1 to Aug. 30. Contestants are allowed to submit up to 10 images in JPG and PNG format. By submitting photos, participants agree to allow Eureka County to use these images without fees. Selected photos will be announced via e-newsletter, and images may be used for marketing materials. Entries will be judged on technical skill, creativity and relevance to the theme.
First-, second- and third-place winners will receive a $100 gift certificate, a social media mention and a county e-newsletter feature, with the first-place winner getting website placement.
Submissions can be sent via Facebook Direct Message or emailed to community@eurekacountynv.gov.
