The Eureka County Juvenile Probation (ECJP) department creates and promotes programs dedicated to educate youth and promote lifestyle enrichment. With a fun summer itinerary, ECJP announced their July schedule:
July 7-10 and July 14-17
Starting off July is the YEP! (Youth Enrichment Program), which offers engaging activities exploring agriculture, science, robotics and different crafts for students from preschool through sixth grade. Dates are Monday-Thursday (July 7-10) and July 14-17 from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds. Registration is required. Interested individuals can register students with the juvenile probation office.
July 21-24
The CV Swim Program will be held in Crescent Valley and is for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Kids will receive swim lessons in Battle Mountain and learn necessary life-saving skills.
July 28-30
Students from 5th-12th grade can participate in volleyball camp, which will teach them the fundamentals of the sport. The camp will be held at the Vandal Athletic Center.
