Eureka Elementary School will celebrate Red Ribbon Week October 21-24. The theme this year is Life is a Movie Film Drug Free. There are several activities planned throughout the week including dress-up days, guest speaker presentations and a door decorating activity.
Dress-up days for the week are:
Monday-Dress like a Rockstar
Tuesday-Character Day
Wednesday-Dress to Impress
Thursday-Wear Red to to the Gala
The class with the highest participation percentage will win an ice cream party.
Class reps for grades one through six will tally the number of participants each day and give it to Ms. Sally.
The Pre-K teacher will tally its number of participants and give it to Ms. Sally.
Guest Speaker Presentation
Students will be dismissed to the multipurpose room/cafeteria for a special presentation on making good choices and staying away from drugs on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 1:30 p.m.
Door Decorating Activity
Teachers and students will have the opportunity ahead of time to discuss how they would like to decorate their door. The doors will be judged in the following categories: creativity and usage of the national theme, Life is a Movie Film Drug Free. All doors must be completed by the end of Oct. 23. Members of the community will come in Thursday morning to judge the doors. The winners will receive a pizza party.
Eureka County Juvenile Probation will also be hosting a movie night Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. for families and students.
