Eureka High School’s annual homecoming will be Sept. 23-28. The high school has prepared prompts and colors for the students to dress up and add to the fun and festivities of their Hollywood Homecoming.
Monday, Sept. 23 the theme is “walk the red carpet.” Students are tasked with finding their closets’ finest and dressing to impress so Eureka High’s halls look like the premiere of a fresh new Hollywood flick. Students less keen on the Hollywood glamor can also wear red to participate in the fun.
After a day of high fashion, students are asked to take a more relaxed approach to school attire for a “morning after the Oscars” on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Students can set later alarms and get some extra z’s because they won’t need extra time to pick out the perfect school outfit. They’ll just wear pajamas that day.
Wednesday, Sept. 25 will be classic movie day. Eureka High School is having students wear black and white.
Thursday, Sept. 26, the theme is the Oscars. To recreate the classic Oscar trophy, students should wear gold. Thursday’s merriment will extend to the evening. The students and community are asked to come support the Eureka volleyball team as they take on Lund at 4 p.m. There will also be a community pep assembly at the VAC for all to come show their Eureka High Pride.
Friday, Sept. 27 is a day for athletics as the volleyball and football teams both face Pyramid Lake. The volleyball game will begin at 5 p.m. and the football game will begin at 7 p.m. Support from students and the community is welcomed and encouraged at both games.
Saturday, Sept. 28 will be another busy day for Eureka volleyball as the girls face Pahranagat Valley at 1 p.m. in a matchup that will likely be one of their season’s toughest. Students and fans are again encouraged to come fill the stands and support their team.
