The Eureka Swimming Pool is gearing up for its first-ever Christmas carnival, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 19, from 5 to 7 p.m., and organizers are reaching out to the community for volunteers to help bring the event to life.
According to the announcement, the carnival will feature a variety of family-friendly games and activities, and community members are invited to assist with setup, game operation and festive participation. Volunteers may begin setting up their game stations at 4:30 p.m. They are welcome to choose from a list of suggested games or create activities of their own.
Suggested games include classic holiday-themed favorites such as pin the nose on Rudolph, reindeer ring toss and snowman cup/ball toss, along with more energetic options like water snowball fights, cup races with squirt guns and sack toss/corn hole, Christmas tree edition. Other game ideas are Connect 4 and pop the ornament, giving volunteers plenty of flexibility to tailor their stations to kids of all ages.
In a particularly festive touch, organizers are also searching for a volunteer willing to play the Grinch, with a costume provided for the role.
The event aims to bring the community together for a fun-filled evening and to offer local families a joyful start to the holiday season. Residents, organizations and anyone interested in participating are encouraged to reach out.
