Since 2016, Eureka County residents, along with visitors from near and far, have gathered in downtown Eureka on a Saturday in September to mingle, shop, eat and sample many different varieties of vino. The annual Eureka Art, Wine and Music Fest is set to kick off Saturday, Sept. 21, beginning at 8 a.m. with a 5K/10k run, followed by festivities on Eureka’s Main Street. Art in the Park begins at 10 a.m., followed by the Dutch oven cook-off at 12:30 p.m. The cook-off is open to the public. Other events include a silent auction, tunnel tours (under downtown Eureka) and raffle baskets. The crowd-favorite wine walk begins at 1 p.m. at the 180 Gallery.

The Art, Wine and Music Fest was started in 2016 as a fundraising effort by Eureka Restoration Enterprise.
In 2016, Eureka’s Main Street was left void of business when both the bank and Raine’s Market relocated.
Eureka Restoration Enterprise was formed with the idea of revitalizing Main Street and attracting new businesses. One of the first efforts toward this was the formation of an event designed to bring the community to Main Street and into some of its vacant historic buildings.
Garney Damale of Eureka Restoration Enterprise said, “This year we have 20 wine walk stops along Main Street. We have attracted over 300 people from throughout the State of Nevada to our community. The event has grown to include a 5K/10K trail run organized by the Moyle family, a Dutch oven cook-off, art vendors, music in several venues throughout Main Street, a silent auction, a raffle and a BBQ dinner and evening music. The event is an all-day event, and we have several musicians set to perform this year: local band Two Blokes and a Squeezebox at the Jackson House balcony, Kim Russell playing the cello in the Eureka Courthouse Gallery, the trio The Dead Frets and Co. at the Opera House and the rock band Esoteric at the Veteran’s Park. Wells guitarist Jay Dalton will be playing at the Lani and Repetto Dance Hall, and Round Mountain band Tin Foil Hats will also be playing the Veteran’s Park stage.”
Revenue earned will be used towards downtown beautification projects. Some past projects have included murals and flowers on Main Street.
Eureka Restoration Enterprise is currently working on the restoration of the Masonic Lodge located at 101 N Main Street. In 2023, Country Cottage, a local sewing and quilting shop, opened in the main room of the building after some renovations. They are now focusing on the two other rooms in the building with hopes of expanding and attracting new businesses to Main Street.
