As Eureka County excitedly awaits Halloween celebrations, several Halloween-themed events are planned for community members to enjoy.
Head down to the Eureka Opera House on Oct. 13 for St. Brendan’s Movie Matinees. It’s set to show the 1993 American fantasy comedy “Hocus Pocus,” beginning at 2 p.m. Concessions will be available, including baked goods and beverages.
Come celebrate the season with the Eureka Lion Club’s Pumpkin Patch and enjoy baked goods, face painting and fall photos courtesy of the 4-H. The festivities run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the R-Park. Guests are encouraged to participate in the pumpkin carving contest.
There aren’t just festivities for kids; the 4th Annual Halloween Costume Ball will provide a Halloween celebration for individuals 21 years or older. Adults can partake in costume prizes, a raffle, a cash bar and enjoy music by DJ Jim Schweble. Celebrations will take place at the Eureka Opera House on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. There is a $5 entrance fee.
