The community is invited to celebrate the arrival of 2026 at the annual Fireman’s Ball, set for Dec. 31 at the historic Eureka Opera House. Doors will be open from 8 p.m. to midnight, kicking off an evening designed to support local firefighters while offering family-friendly entertainment.
A highlight of the night will be live music by the Dead Frets, whose performance is expected to draw residents from across the county. The event features a modest $5 cover charge, with reduced pricing of $3 for ages 12 to 17. Children 11 and under can attend for free.
Throughout the night, attendees will have the chance to participate in raffle drawings, a longstanding tradition of the Fireman’s Ball. Prizes include a Stihl chainsaw, a Blackstone-style outdoor grill and cash bundles, among other items. Proceeds from ticket sales and raffle entries will go directly toward supporting the local fire services and equipment needs. Tickets are $5, and community members may contact any fire personnel for purchase.
The Fireman’s Ball has long stood as one of Eureka’s most cherished year-end events, bringing neighbors together in support of public safety while welcoming in the New Year with music, prizes and community pride.
For additional event information or to buy tickets, residents are encouraged to reach out to their local fire personnel.
