Firewise USA Community Days set for Eureka County

The Eureka, Diamond Valley, Crescent Valley and Beowawe Firewise communities are holding Firewise USA Community Days on Friday, May 2 in Eureka and Saturday, May 3 in Crescent Valley. These wildfire education days are intended to provide a fun and friendly structure to inform homeowners on practical steps to protect their homes from wildfire. Event details are outlined below.

Eureka                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Friday, May 2 – Eureka County Fairgrounds, 11 to 1 p.m.

Crescent Valley                                                                                                                                                                         Saturday, May 3 – Crescent Valley Community Center, 11 to 1 p.m.

There will be tethered Smokey the Bear Hot Air Balloon rides at both locations, expected to start at 8 a.m.
