Fourth annual Halloween Costume Ball is a success

The fourth annual Halloween Costume Ball held on Oct. 26 at the Eureka Opera House went well. 

Hosted by Carrie Schweble-Clark and Kristan Umina, the event consisted of a costume contest, pizza from the Urban Cowboy, a bar hosted by the Owl Club, small raffles and plenty of dancing. DJ Jim Schweble provided music for the 21+ event. 

Around 56 party-goers attended the event with a variety of different costumes. From Mothman and the Flintstones to a glass of Guinness, garden gnomes, 70s hippies, cowboys, Mario, Patrick and Squidward, many wore creative costumes in hopes of winning the contest. Abby Sweet won most original. Darrell and Kim Archuleta were named best couple. The funniest costume award went to Fiona and Andy Goettle and Travis Gallagher.
