The Nevada Department of Wildlife is holding a Hunter Education Course on March 29, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Perdiz Shooting Range (Windfall Canyon, PO Box 735, Eureka, NV 89316). The Hunter Education Class will teach students knowledge, skills and quarry-nowledge necessary to become a responsible hunter in the State of Nevada. This class is recommended for all ages, including minors (accompanied by an adult), to teach hunting safety standards, with students being certified after successful completion of the class. The class costs $5 and includes outdoor activities, it is recommended to dress accordingly and bring refreshments for the day. Students are required to complete their workbook, available for free at any NDOW office or online at hunter-ed.com, prior to class with printed proof of the Home Study completion. Failure to bring their completed Nevada Online Completion Confirmation will result in failure to gain admittance.
The NDOW recommends three different options when it comes to accessing the necessary materials, including: Today’s Hunter workbook (free, located at any regional NDOW office), Hunter-Ed.com (with an additional fee), or HUNTERcourse.com (with an additional fee).
