Journey to the North Pole Returns to Ely

“It’s a most wonderful time of the year!” Yes, because in Ely it is time for Nevada Northern Railway’s award-winning Polar Express.

Licensed by Warner Bros., it’s been voted “Best Special Event in Rural Nevada” by readers of Nevada Magazine. Enjoy a magical journey to the North Pole on the Polar Express.

On the way, servers will treat passengers with hot chocolate and cookies. And then the story of the Polar Express is read aloud to all of the passengers. At the conclusion of the story, the train arrives at the North Pole! Santa Claus will board the train at the North Pole and greet all passengers. And if you Believe, his trusty helper will give you a silver bell! Don’t forget your cameras! Passengers of all ages are encouraged to wear pajamas and bring blankets.
