The Eureka County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO), in collaboration with the Eastern Nevada Narcotics Task Force, seized approximately 4500 pounds of processed marijuana in Crescent Valley on April 10.
Acknowledging the timing of their announcement on April 20 (4/20) and the legality of marijuana in Nevada, the ECSO stressed that the seized quantity far exceeded legal limits.

Deputies were alerted to the large amount of marijuana, leading to the significant discovery. The ECSO commended their staff and task force detectives for their work, noting the investigation remains ongoing.
This seizure underscores that while Nevada permits recreational marijuana use for adults, strict regulations govern the amount individuals can possess and distribute. Law enforcement continues to address activity exceeding these legal boundaries. Further details are expected as the investigation progresses.
