Nevada Health Centers’ Austin location reopened on Tuesday, February 27. The facility was temporarily closed while a search for a provider was conducted and building repairs were made. Nicola Bain, APRN, is a Nurse Practitioner who will provide care in the Austin Center. She received her Master of Science at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2003 and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1998. She began working in the healthcare industry in 1981 and has a wide variety of experience in many different healthcare settings.
The Austin Medical Center will be open Tuesdays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed for lunch 12 to 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., closed for lunch 12 to 12:30 p.m.
Services: Family medicine, preventive health, women’s health, children’s health and immunizations, newborn care, pharmacy services and health education.
How to be a patient: Call 775-946-2222 in advance for an appointment. Austin Medical Center accepts new patients. We welcome most private insurance, medicaid, Medicare, Women’s Health Connection and Nevada Check Up. A sliding fee schedule for low-income patients who are uninsured is available. Identification and income information is needed to enroll in the sliding fee program.
