Nevada Supreme Court announces retirement of Judge Gary Fairman

Judge Gary Fairman of the Seventh Judicial District Court, Department 2 is set to retire on April 4. The Seventh Judicial District represents Eureka, Lincoln and White Pine Counties. 

Gary Fairman has deep roots in Nevada, having lived in Ely with his family for 41 years. He practiced law for 33 years, was appointed by Gov. Brian Sandoval in 2013 and ran unopposed when elected to the position in 2014.

The Commission on Judicial Selection is accepting applications to fill the vacancy in Dept. 2 of the Seventh District. Submissions are due by noon on Feb. 12.
