Pauline Joan Damele, 76, a resident of Gooding, Idaho, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Stonebridge Assisted Living in Hagerman, Idaho
Polly was born November 18, 1948 in Elko, Nevada, the daughter of Oscar Jackson Streeter and Elizabeth Jane Barnes. She was born into an Air Force family and traveled to many places as a child including Bermuda. Polly was a graduate of Elko High School.

Polly married Steve Damele in 1969 in Elko, Nevada.

Steve and Polly started their own ranching operation at Sheep Creek Ranch in 1970. They moved to Richfield, Idaho in December 1989 to expand their ranching operation. Together they bought and sold various ranches in Idaho (Middleton, Gooding and Mountain Home).

Polly was a devoted ranch wife and mother. She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1979. She struggled and fought with it for years. With Steve taking care of her for years, she always fought it with a smile and positive attitude.

Polly enjoyed reading, true crime shows, word searches, as well as going to Jackpot every so often. She enjoyed board games with her grandchildren. She also had a sweet tooth for anything chocolate and coffee.

Polly is survived by her son, Stephen Damele of Hammett, Idaho; her daughter Audrey (Jeremy) Morris of Gooding, Idaho; sisters: Patty Damele of Richfield, Idaho, Deanna Stoller of Oregon, Tonya Hunt of Twin Falls, Idaho and Sally Gable of New Hampshire; brothers: Ozzy Streeter of Mountain Home, Idaho and Hartly Streeter of Nampa, Idaho; and seven grandchildren: Austin Shelter, Robyn Shelter, Sam Damele, Tessi Damele, Butch Morris, Mady Morris and Dan Morris.

She is preceded in death by her husband Steve Damele, and daughter Jennifer Manduca.

A funeral mass will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Eureka, Nevada. A rosary will be held at 12:00 noon following Mass.
Burial will follow at the Eureka County Cemetery.
