Step into a Nevada State Park free of entry with the help of your local library card. Library card holders have access to all 27 Nevada State Parks by simply checking out their free day-use entry permits. These permits are valid for the following locations: Beaver Dam, Berlin-Ichthyosaur, Big Bend of the Colorado, Buckland Station, Cathedral Gorge, Cave Lake, Cave Rock, Dayton, Echo Canyon, Elgin Schoolhouse, Fort Churchill, Ice Age Fossils, Kershaw-Ryan, Lahontan, Mormon Station, Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort, Rye Patch, Sand Harbor, South Fork, Spooner Lake & Backcountry, Spring Mountain Ranch, Spring Valley, Valley of Fire, Van Sickle, Walker River, Ward Charcoal Ovens, Washoe Lake and Wild Horse.
These permits do not include federal, regional or other public lands. Day-use passes are valid for one vehicle with a capacity of eight people max per vehicle.
Crescent Valley Branch Library, located at 5045 Tenabo Ave., Ste 103, and Eureka Branch Library, located at 80 South Monroe, are participating libraries. Head to parks.nv.gov for full details about the pass.
