The Vandals track teams, small in numbers, still got some high finishes at the Ward Coates Invitational last week in Elko, but team scores were not posted.
Garrett Todd took third place in the High Jump and Triple Jump. Tristan Bircham took fourth place in the boys Shot Put.
For the girls, Angelica Townsend was second in the 800 meters and third in the Triple Jump. Angel Greeley was first in the Discus with Skylar Merritt third place.
Alia Minoletti placed second in the Triple Jump and third in the Long Jump.
This Friday, the Vandals host their own Eureka Invitational.
Each of the athletes are preparing for the final meets of the regular season while at the same time looking toward the Northern regional state qualifying meet, May 11-12 in Yerington and the state meet May 18-19 in Carson City.
The top four in each event at regionals qualify for the state meet the following week.
