Vandal girls shine in field events at Elko Kiwanis Invitational

The Lady Vandals showed themselves well in the field events at the Elko Kiwanis Invitational March 31.

Alia Minoletti won the Triple Jump (31-0) and was second in both the Long Jump (14-0), and the High Jump (4-8). Teammate Jiselle Dominguez won the Long Jump (14-7). Melissa Schweble was second in the Shot Put (27-7½), with Angel Greely third in the Discus (71-5½).

On the boys side, Tristan Birchim was third in the Shot Put (35-10½) and fifth in the Discus (94-2).

The Vandals team competed yesterday in the Pahrump Valley Weekday.
