The Eureka High School girls’ volleyball team remained unbeaten in league play with wins over Lund and McDermitt last week.
The Vandals sent their fans home happy after a straight-set win over the Mustangs, Thursday night, Sept. 18. Eureka got some resistance from Lund in set one, but cruised from there, winning 25-20, 25-15, 25-19.
Spring Creek visited EHS on Friday, Sept. 19, and escaped with a straight-set win despite the Vandals’ threats in sets two and three. The Spartans won the first set comfortably, 25-18, but Eureka made them sweat in a 25-23 second set and 25-21 third.
The Vandals then visited the Bulldogs on Saturday and recovered from a second-set loss to win in four and improve to 3-0 against 1A Eastern opponents.
The Vandals hope to extend their in-league winning streak against Wells (3-12, 2-1) at noon on Saturday, Sept. 27.
