The Clune family is hosting a grid search for their missing son, Aidan Clune, on May 31 and June 1 near Curie, Nevada, in the Cherry Creek Range. Volunteers are invited to meet at the Flying J Truck Stop in Wells at 6:30 a.m. The group will leave the range at 5 p.m. to return to the truck stop.
Aidan was last seen on April 27, 2022, when his truck was left alongside the road as he walked into the desert. He is 5’8, 125 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes. He was tracked into the Cherry Creek Mountain Range. He was believed to be wearing a black North Face coat and dark jeans. There was a possible sighting of him in Salt Lake City, Utah, in June of 2023. He is known to have a love for seaside communities.

Aidan Clune was last seen on April 27, 2022. A grid search will take place on May 31.
As of now, Aidan’s shoes are the only things that have been found. “It is hoped that optimal conditions will be present for the search dogs this year, allowing them to find a scent and find Aidan,” stated the family.
Volunteers will need to be able to hike five miles in rough terrain or drive for pick up/drop off from the range. Experienced hikers are encouraged. This will be a grid search, so all volunteers must stay together in sight of one another. The family could use the help of 4x4s, side-by-sides, ATVs, dirt bikes, drones and/or horseback riders. The family will provide water, snacks and sandwiches. They will also have spot devices, two-way radios and first aid.
The family asks those who plan on volunteering to contact Amy Clune so the family can plan transportation for searchers. She can be reached at (406) 647-7046 or via email at findaidanclune@gmail.com. There is currently a $5,000 reward for information leading to the finding of Aidan. Any volunteers who would like to participate can reach out to Amy, and an arrangement for transportation from the BLM entrance to the range can be made. This search will be much more compact as they will be searching the area Aidan’s shoes were found last summer.
The Clune family said, “We want to sincerely thank the people of Elko and surrounding communities for your past kindness, support and generosity. Your help over these past years has meant the world to us, and we are so grateful for the amazing locals who have stood by us. If you are willing and able to join us in the mountains, your presence would mean everything.”
