Local business owner hosts Reiki bodywork sessions

Owner of Balance Beam Healing Josie Hoekenga has expanded her mindful services to Reiki bodywork sessions. Reiki is a Japanese healing therapy that utilizes gentle touch to promote healing, relaxation and balanced energy. Hoekenga shared through a Facebook post the long-term benefits of Reiki therapy, which includes aiding in nervous system maintenance, leading to better sleep, reduced stress, anxiety and depression. Hoekenga continued to share the immediate benefits including a calm state, improved state of mind, deep relaxation and a nervous system reset.
