Construction has begun on a new fiber-optic internet network in Eureka County, bringing faster, more reliable connectivity to the area.

The project is led by Sky Fiber Internet, a Northern Nevada-based provider that has served rural communities for more than 20 years. The company has also been providing wireless internet service in Eureka County for nearly a decade, making this expansion a natural next step in its long-term commitment to the region and its continued investment in the communities it serves.
Fiber-optic technology delivers data as light through high-capacity lines and is known for its speed and consistency, supporting everything from remote work and online learning to streaming and day-to-day operations.
Sky Fiber is registered with the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada and is coordinating closely with Eureka County to ensure all work meets applicable regulations and standards throughout the construction process.
Crews are now active in the area, and residents may notice ongoing construction as the network is built out in phases. Service will become available over time as different parts of the project are completed.
Those interested in service or updates can visit Sky Fiber Fiber Is Coming Page to check availability and register their interest as the build progresses.
This project is part of the High Speed Nevada Initiative, a statewide program focused on expanding access to reliable, high-speed broadband in underserved and rural areas. The initiative supports strategic infrastructure investments to improve connectivity and help ensure long-term access to modern internet services across Nevada.
Sky Fiber is excited to bring Eureka some of the fastest and most reliable internet service available, supporting the community’s needs today and into the future.
