During National EMS week, Eureka County EMS hosted community events in Crescent Valley and Eureka with food and drinks, a bounce house, a water slide “and a chance to meet the EMTs and AEMTs who show up when it matters most.”
On Friday, May 22, at 10 a.m., EMS director Nikki Cooley and Brent Jones were at Crescent Valley Park, along with members of the Crescent Valley Volunteer Fire Department.
Cooley, who helped serve hot dogs and hamburgers to attendees, including children who enjoyed the bounce house and water slide, told the Sentinel, “We’re super excited to host our first EMS Days, and we just hope every year it gets bigger and bigger. And we appreciate the community coming out and supporting us. That’s all we do: We are here to support our family and our friends, and we are excited to be here.”
