On Monday, June 1, at approximately 8:48 p.m. troopers with the Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a report of a crash on State Route (SR) 306 near Eureka County mile marker 8. This location is approximately 12 miles south of Interstate 80.
A preliminary investigation determined that a gray Kia Optima was traveling northbound on SR306. The Kia failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and ran off the roadway to the right. The Kia traveled through a right-of-way fence and furrowed in, which caused it to overturn. The Kia came to rest upright, facing west.

She was identified as Rocky Marlene Miller, age 47, of Crescent Valley, Nevada. Speed and impaired driving are suspected in this crash.
The Kia was occupied by an adult male seated in the rear middle seat, who was unrestrained. The male passenger remains hospitalized at this time. A third passenger, a female juvenile, was seated in the right-side rear seat. She was wearing her seat belt and was not injured during the crash.
