Annual Christmas Event a Success

December 18, 2014 by Cindy Beutel 2 Comments

1This is a wonderful time of the year!

The Old-Fashioned Community Christmas Tree Lighting was filled with music, laughter, and the excitement of Christmas. Santa Claus was here visiting with all the children, young and old. The sound of hoof prints outside the Opera House from sleigh rides put smiles on everyone’s’ faces. The Christmas tree was lit with the sounds of children chanting light, light, light.

This event could not happen without the generous support from Mt. Wheeler, Western Nevada Supply Company, O’Flaherty Plumbing, Eureka Chevron, Al Park Petroleum, Newmont Mining, Midway Gold, Owl Club, Vogue Dry Cleaning, Ralph Cuba and the Choir, Eureka County Recreation Board, Eureka County Road Department, Department of Transportation, Eureka County Sheriff’s Office, Eureka Opera House, Nevada Highway Patrol, Tony Hawks Ranch and of course Santa Claus for taking the time out of his busy schedule to visit our town. Thank you for all your support.

I also thank our elves for helping with this year’s event: Carlie Wells, Sydney Norris, Skyler Merritt, Savanna Sanders, Alia Minoletti, Gabby Minoletti, Bella Minoletti and Jamie Protani.

Most of all, thank our community for supporting this event. It is a wonderful time of year to get together with friends and family. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
